Course Rules

  • Eye and ear protection are required at all times by everyone on the course
  • No steel shot allowed
  • Maximum of 2 shells in the gun
  • Maximum load is 7 ½ 1 1/8 oz.
  • Only 7 ½ , 8, 8 ½ , or 9 lead shot are allowed
  • Staff reserves the right to inspect and approve all ammunition
  • Alcohol is not allowed on course or before shooting
  • Always keep muzzle pointed in a safe direction
  • Guns must be unloaded with actions open until shooters are in the stand and ready to shoot
  • Only load gun when in the stand, pointed downrange and it is your turn to shoot
  • No harvesting of any game on course property
  • Do not touch or try to repair any machines or equipment
  • Stay on course trail at all times
  • By law, no one under the age of 16 may drive the golf cart
  • One show pair allowed per squad per station
  • Keep track of any broken targets or no targets and report them to staff
  • If there are 4 brokens in a row, please stop pushing the button and move on to the next station
  • You may throw as many extra targets as you want and you will be charged accordingly
  • If you misplace your shooting card, you will be charged for the maximum amount of targets on the card

Quail Creek Sporting Ranch offers gunsmithing services. We offer general gunsmithing from simple repairs to intricate modifications. A true one-stop-shop.

  • Offering several professional wood finishes, from hand rubbed oil to high gloss lacquer.
  • Stripping of standard finishes, sanding, removal of small dents and nicks, taping off the checkering finishing, recutting the boarders around the checkering and resealing the checkering.
  • Hand rubbed oil finish leaving the grain of the wood open or completely filling the grain
  • Sprayed on lacquer, satin, leaving the grain open or completely filling the grain
  • Sprayed on lacquer. High Gloss Weatherby Style finish with grain completely filled
  • Oil soaked stocks
  • Removal of large dents
  • Crack repair
  • Stripping epoxy finished like on the Weatherby MV and some Browning models
  • Staining if needed
