Course Rules

The maximum load allowed is 1 1/8 oz in 7 1/2, 8 and 9 shot. You can shoot 12 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge or .410 bore. Please note that steel shot is NOT allowed.

At the sporting clays children 6 years old and older can shoot as long as they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

You can only shoot shotguns at Quail Creek. All shotguns 12 through .410 bore are welcomed. No rifles, pistols or revolvers are allowed on the Okeechobee sporting clays courses or the ranch. All guns MUST BE UNLOADED with actions open at all times.
The 1 oz. load contains less shot, therefore, you will have less recoil and usually the shot charge will be a little faster. The 1 1/8 load contains more shot which will give you more recoil than the 1 oz. shell.
A true pair is when two targets are thrown at exactly the same time. A report pair is when one target is thrown first and the second one is released after the first one has been fired upon.
Reservations are not required, but we do recommend you make reservations on weekends and if you are coming with a large group. We can’t guarantee the availability of golf carts or gun rentals for clay or hunt without reservations.
We have Beretta and Rizzini over and under 12 and 20 gauge shotguns as well as semi-automatic. We also have one (1) Beretta semi-automatic youth model shotgun. The cost of a gun rental is $30 per gun per day and you must be 18 to rent the guns.

We serve lunch at the Food Pavilion, Tuesday – Sunday from 11am – 2pm.
